According to the first wife of beleaguered former president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi paid US$ 100,000 in order to stop the airing of the "number 12" corruption expose which exposed alleged corrupt persons in the Ghanaian football fratternity.

In an interview with Metro TV's Paul Adom Okyere, on the programme "Good Evening Ghana", Christine- Marie Nyantakyi the first wife of the disgraced former first vice president of the Confederation of African football, some peolple came to his husband and demanded a some of money worth US$ 150,000 of which Nyantakyi indicated he can not afford such hefty some. Nyantakyi paid US$ 100,000 ln order to stop the showing of the video. Chrtstine-Marie indicated the money was latter returned. "the money was later returned, they paid US$ 60,000 first and then US$ 40,000.

There were initial rumors to the effect that some assigns of Anas Aremeyaw Anas had contacted the former president in order to stop the airing of the video. The camp of the ace journalist denied any attempt to bury the uncovered rot in the Ghana Football Association.
