The Ghana Football association has increased the number of premier league clubs from 16 to 18 for the 2020 elections.
King Faisal and Great Olympics were included in the Premier League by the Normalization Committee for the court cases to be resolved.
According to the Normalization Committee, they increased the number of clubs from 16 to 18 to ensure the next GFA administration starts on a clean slate with no court cases or legal issues.
This decision also means the Court of Arbitration for Sports ruling on Phar Rangers will be implemented to allow Sporting Mirren to return to the Division one League, and to allow for zone two to also present a new team to the Zone two of the Division one league.
