In Accra, Accra Hearts of Oak pipped their recent nemesis the West Africa Football Academy by 4:0. The game served as a "revenge" to the Accra based club as they fell to a humiliating 5:0 defeat to WAFA in June, 2017.
Two first half goals from from Michelle Sarpong and skipper Fatah Mohammed on the 30th and 45th minutes respectively ensured Hearts went into recess with smile. In the second half Auroras graduate Manaf Abdul Umar on the 67th minute punished the error prone WAFA defence with a breathtaking goal. Substitute Kofi Kordzi announced his presence with a goal moments after his introduction.
In Cape Coast, Ebusua Dwarfs came from a goal down to beat out of form Inter Allies. The Tema lads who had prior to this fixture had suffered back to back defeats against Hearts of Oak drew first blood through their Nigerian attacker Effiong Nsungusi in what looked like a fruitful first half.

Elsewhere in Aiyinase at the Cosby Awuah Memorial Park, Karela United maintained their invisibility at home as they beat Elmina Sharks by one goal to nothing courtesy Emmanuel Barfuor's goal. Dreams where held to a frustrating goalless draw against captain Simon Zibo's Liberty Professionals in Dawu.
