The combative midfielder has featured for the Turin-based side for the past three years, having joined from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015.
However, the Ghana international has found game time hard to come by this season, following the appointment of Walter Mazzari as Torino manager.
Acquah came close to joining Birmingham City last summer, whiles the likes of Newcastle United and West Ham have also been mooted as likely destinations.
Indeed, the 26-year-old has previously spoken of his desire to play in England, describing the Premier League as a competition he “dreams” of playing in.
Reports in the local media suggest that that dream could soon become a reality, with the midfielder planning to swap the Serie A for the English topflight.
The player's representative, Arthur Oliver, is reportedly in talks with some English clubs in a bid to engineer a move for his client.
Acquah has previously lined up for Parma, Sampdoria and Palermo.
